The Philippines was hit by a storm when the scandal of Janet Lim Napoles, the mother of Jeane Napoles surfaced the country in 2013. A lot of politicians were also pointed as accomplice of the scandal. Right now in 2013, the latest update of the scandal is that Janet Napoles is trying to get the sympathy of the Filipino people by trying to act that she is sick. Although they say that there are medical evidence that she is actually sick but I really don’t believe it personally. I think it is just one of their gimmick trying to make her look bad so that people will get her sympathy so that she will not be put in prison. This act was also done by several politicians including the former president of the Philippines Gloria Macapagal Arroyo who end up in a wheel chair during her trial. These corrupt politicians are very disgusting because for me it’s not a coincidence that they get sick whenever there is a trail coming up. What they are just doing is just an act of alibi so that people will get sympathy but I’m not biting it, not even an inch.

I am just hoping that this scandal will come to conclusion because a lot of people are now affected because of this scandal. I also don’t want that the Philippine economy will be affected because of this scandal because as of now, what is happening in Mindanao I think is just a diversion so that the attention of the people will be on the war in Mindanao and they will forget about the pork barrel scandal that happened in 2013. The media also plays a vital role to the success of the scandal because I could remember that when the pork barrel scandal came up in 2013, about several weeks from that an outbreak happened in Mindanao. Of course people will turn their attention to the war in Mindanao but I hope they will not forget the pork barrel scandal that not only Janet Lim Napoles is guilty but also there are some senators and government officials of the country that are involve in this scandal in 2013.

I am disgusted with the government officials in the Philippines but we can’t do anything about it. It is what it is and the only thing that is needed to be done is that these government officials like Janet Lim Napoles herself should pay the crimes that they committed. They should be imprisoned for the rest of their lives because they have used the money of the Filipino people in their own personal needs and for me that is unforgivable. They should be punished and I hope the justice system of the Philippines will think of it deeply.
