A lot of people in the Philippines right now are talking about Kobe Paras. Yes he is the son of the rookie-MVP player in the Philippine Basketball Association Benjie Paras. His height is only about 6ft 4 inches but this kid really has some leaping ability. He was crowned as the slam dunk champion in the Fiba 3x3 tournament this year and people in the Philippines are talking about him especially when the time that he will turn pro. But to tell you, this kid is still too young because he is only 15 years old. He is just a Senior high school player and people are talking about him turning to pro.

I know that he is not overrated because this kid really got some skills but what I’m hoping is that for this kid to still grow especially when we talk about his height. I could imagine that a young age of 15, Kobe Paras could still grow to a height of 6ft 6 inches or I maybe 6ft 8inches. His current height today is 6-4 and I know he is still young so he could still grow. Aside from growing in height, I believe that Kobe Paras could still grow as a basketball player and I am hoping that someday, he could tie the record that his father set in the PBA and that’s being the only rookie-MVP in the entire league. I know that will be a difficult task but I would just like everyone to look up to this blog in the future because I am really predicting that Kobe Paras will be a force in the Philippines Basketball.

 I know that Kobe Paras will have a bright future and I am just hoping that he will choose the right college university so that his game will improve. I know that there are a lot of colleges in the Philippines that has a good basketball program but I hope that Kobe Paras will choose the best. I have high hopes for him not only because of his leaping abilities, but he is really like his father who could score both inside and outside the floor. He is still young and he has still a lot of room to improve but Kobe Paras has a natural talent and he should maximize that talent so  that he will have a good career in the future.

Athletic Ability

Kobe Paras is one of those young talents who definitely got the hops to pound the ball in the basket. This kid is really athletic and the proof for it is winning the 2013 FIBA ASIA slam dunk championship. He is a proud son of the former PBA legend Benjie Paras and it seemed he also inherit the athletic ability of his father. Kobe Paras is still very young yet he already got the spotlight in his basketball career. He is considered as the country’s most promising player and at a young age, a lot of coaches and teams from pro basketball are keeping an eye of him. But then again, since Kobe Paras is still very young he still has a lot to improve before we talk about playing at a professional level but then again, this kid is imply blessed to have great athletic ability and for sure if he will work and develop that skill set, he will be an unstoppable force in the future years to come.

Playing Outside The Country

The latest news development of Kobe Paras is that he will not play collegiate basketball in the Philippines but he will be playing outside the country. When he was still in high school, he was rumored to be the next superstar of the UAAP, a collegiate basketball league in the Philippines but the plans have change because he will be playing college ball in the United States. In my own opinion, playing outside the country would also be a good exposure for him. Playing international tournaments will surely be a big help for him in the development of his game. I am sure that his father also supported this decision and probably chooses this decision for his son to play outside the country. This will surely be a huge impact in the basketball career of Kobe Paras. In my own opinion, with his raw talent, he could become a superstar in the Philippines but then again he is still young and he needs to polish his game and training outside the country could be a perfect place for him. I just can’t wait to see him in the country and play professional basketball. The hopes and dreams of the first Filipino to play in the NBA is still up for grabs and Kobe Paras is taking it on consideration that’s why he also decided to play outside the country in order to gain international exposure and hopefully make it in the NBA. But it is just too early for us to talk about things like the NBA or in a professional level because he is still very young and he is just taking it one step at a time. Kobe Paras works so hard because he really wants to become a great basketball just like his father. We all know that his father holds the only record in the country for being the rookie of the year and at the same time the Most Valuable Player in the same player. Nobody has done that record in the history of Philippine basketball but his father alone that’s why he considers his father a huge inspiration in playing the game of basketball. Kobe Paras really wants to improve his game and playing outside the country might be the solution to it.

The Game of Basketball

Kobe Paras was introduced to the game of basketball at a very young age and of course his father, the former PBA superstar introduced the game to him. His father also played a great role in his basketball career because he is his number one coach and number one supporter. The ideal lessons that he learned in playing basketball mostly came from his father Benjie Paras. Kobe Paras is indeed blessed to have a raw talent in playing basketball plus he got his height from his father as well. In my own opinion, I could really say that Kobe Paras will become a superstar in the country when he will reach a professional level. I certainly believe that he will be able to improve more of his game and play at a high level and put his team in a position to win each and every game. Kobe Paras shows an amazing talent and also he has the upmost hard work and dedication to the game of basketball. He truly loves the sport just like his father did in the past and he works so hard to get better each and everyday. He is still young and for sure he will be able to reach the peak of his career in no time. All he needs to do right now is to train so hard so that he will be able to prepare himself for the future.

Career

Kobe Paras will turn college next year and it is a huge step for his career as well. He is playing sensational basketball in his high school days and I truly believe that he could also be this sensational playing college basketball but the only difference is that he will be playing outside the country and not in the Philippines. It will be a huge challenge for him to face opponents that are bigger and also athletic ones. It will surely help him develop a skill and mindset so that when he returns to the country, he will be a big time basketball superstar. I am a huge fan of Kobe Paras not only because he is the son of Benjie Paras who had an amazing career run in the PBA but I truly believe in the skill and in the talent that this kid posses. Without any doubt he will truly become a great basketball player in the future. His height is great and also his athletic ability is sensational. At the time being, he is working so hard so that he will be able to improve his game especially his shooting and of course the most important thing is his defense. That’s one area that he needs to improve in his game so that he will become a complete package when he will be playing at a professional level. As a fan of Kobe Paras, I simply hope and wish him to have an amazing career run and I am looking forward to see him play college and professional basketball. He is in the right track right now and I can’t wait to see him improve his game. I believe he will be unstoppable in the future if he will only work so hard and train on his game.
